If you had told me years ago that I would one day trade TV studios and sideline interviews for open houses and home showings, I might have laughed. But life has a way of leading you exactly where you’re meant to be.

My story starts in Oakville, where I grew up with my younger sister Jenn, riding bikes through the neighbourhood, playing tennis and road hockey with my family, and spending summer evenings walking along Lake Ontario with ice cream in hand. My parents, Cindy and John, still live in the same Bronte home I grew up in, and those memories – of community, family, and feeling “at home” – are what shaped who I am today.

A Career in Broadcasting

After graduating from the University of Guelph with a degree in sociology and completing a post-graduate journalism program at Sheridan College, I dove headfirst into my dream career – sports broadcasting.

For nearly a decade, I worked for networks like CHCH and TSN, covering live events, interviewing athletes, and experiencing the adrenaline rush of being on camera. I loved every second of it – the energy, the people, and the thrill of telling great stories.

Eventually, I transitioned into communications and media relations with the Ontario government, where I developed skills in project management, strategic communication, and negotiation – skills that would unexpectedly become invaluable in my next career chapter.

The Leap into Real Estate

While I loved my career, I’ve always been drawn to home design and connecting with people on a personal level. Real estate felt like the perfect blend of my passions – helping people navigate major life decisions while sharing in the excitement of finding a place they can truly call home.

In 2019, I earned my real estate license. Shortly after, life shifted again with the arrival of my two boys, Brooks and Nash. Being a mom is my proudest role, and I took time off to be home with them during those precious early years.

When I returned to real estate, I knew it was where I was meant to be. Every day is different – I meet new people, tour beautiful homes, work with talented stagers and photographers, and most importantly, guide clients through one of life’s biggest milestones.

Why Real Estate Matters to Me

Buying or selling a home isn’t just a transaction – it’s a chapter in someone’s life story. Sometimes it’s joyful, like a growing family buying their forever home. Other times, it’s emotional, like helping clients navigate a sale after a loss or big life change.

I love being the steady, knowledgeable presence clients can lean on during these big moments. My background in broadcasting and communications taught me how to listen, build trust, and advocate effectively – all skills I now use to negotiate for my clients and make the process as smooth as possible.

Balancing Career and Family

Brooks, my curious math whiz, and Nash, my adventurous “wild child,” keep life fun and busy. Whether we’re at the park, on the soccer field, or catching a Blue Jays game, being their mom brings me more joy than I could ever put into words.

Real estate gives me the flexibility to work hard while still being there for my boys. Yes, I sometimes joke that I live out of my car, but that’s exactly what I love about this career. I’m constantly on the go, meeting people, seeing stunning homes, and helping families through life-changing moments.

Taking Chances and Living Without Regrets

One thing I’ve learned through all my career shifts is that you can’t be afraid to take chances. Every step – from broadcasting to communications to real estate – has given me skills that now help my clients every single day.

Real estate isn’t just about houses – it’s about people, their stories, and their dreams. I feel so privileged to help families find their perfect home or guide them through a successful sale.

As I look ahead, I’m excited to continue growing in this industry, connecting with amazing clients, and building the kind of career that allows me to live without regrets, while showing my boys that they can chase their own dreams, too.
